Getting a haircut today and the barber spontaneously trimmed my eyebrows with the clippers. I must be getting old - when he starts going for my ear hair I'll know I'm getting really old.

Last week was the 25th anniversary of the old Sinclair Spectrum which is a bit scary. That means I have one year to make a Silver Jubilee edition of Jumpman. Jumpman was a game I wrote in 1983, with a bit of creative input from others. It was a bit like Manic Miner but obviously nowhere near as good.

By the way I once met Matt Smith (at Screenplay in Nottingham, link) and he was a really nice guy - still brimming with ideas!

How to explain? How to describe? Even the omniscient viewpoint quails.*

This page looked a bit lonely wthout anything on it, so here is a bit of junk:

I live in NW England, I'm married and we have a little daughter.

I did Materials Science at University, and I've worked for companies making glass, shampoo and medical diagnostics.

I like computers but it's only messing round for me since I never finish anything. But I did spend a lot of time with Allegro, I converted some games to Mac OS X, and recently I fixed a bug in ImageMagick, hehe.

That's it, I promise not to mention myself again...
